KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy, Rinku Singh and others begin preparation for IPL 2023 in pre-season camp

Star cricketers Varun Chakravarthy and Rinku Singh of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have started preparing for the IPL in 2023.

As they prepare for the 16th iteration of the competition, the players could be seen spending quality time at the nets.

In a post, KKR wrote:

“Here we go! The Pre-Season Camp has begun!”

Chakravarthy will attempt to make a good comeback following a disappointing IPL 2022 season. The two-time champions ended eighth with six victories in 14 games despite the leg-spinner taking just six wickets in 11 matches.

In the meantime, Rinku Singh, who accumulated 174 runs in seven games at a strike rate of 130 in the IPL 2022, will aim for another breakthrough year. Last season, the 25-year-old helped Kolkata defeat the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) with game-winning innings of undefeated 42 and 23. In addition, while chasing 210 and losing by two runs against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the left-hander hit a valiant knock of 40 off 15 balls.

In an effort to end their eight-year trophy drought, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team will search for more undiscovered talent. In 2012 and 2014, Gautam Gambhir starred as the franchise’s captain.

To strengthen their team, they have added players like Bangladeshi batsman Litton Das, all-arounder Shakib Al Hasan, and homegrown standout Narayan Jagadeesan. They also have David Weise as a standby for Andre Russell.
